What is FDLRS-South

Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System-South, operating through Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Division of Exceptional Student Education is a special education support system for educators, parents, and professionals who work with students with disabilities and unique needs in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Within Florida, there are 19 FDLRS Associate Centers coordinated through the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services in the Florida Department of Education

The expected outcomes/goals for the FDLRS-South are identified by functions and include the following:

  • Child Find
  • Human Resources Development(HRD)
  • Parent Services
  • Technology

What is FIN

Effective July 1, 2015 The Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) partnered with the FDLRS Network and reports to the FDLRS Associate Center Manager. FIN collaborates with all districts and schools to provide customized services and supports ensuring all students with disabilities have the same educational, social, and future opportunities as their peers. FIN creates a variety of products to aid families and education professionals in meeting their goals. The most recent offering is the District Best Practices for Inclusive Education (BPIE).
