FDLRS-South Human Resources Development
FDLRS Human Resources Development personnel collaboratively plan and provide information, training, technical assistance/consultation and resources related to effective instructional strategies and models for the education of children and youth with special needs based on local needs assessments and established priorities.
FDLRS HRD staff is available to provide support and research-based instructional strategies to teachers who instruct students with disabilities through trainings, coaching, mentoring, lesson studies, and mini workshops.
FDLRS-South maintains an instructional materials center where educators and parents can preview and borrow materials on a short-term basis. The collection includes diagnostic materials, teacher training and professional materials, and instructional media and materials.
FDLRS-South North Satellite center also maintains a “Make and Take Lab” which provides educators and parents an opportunity to utilize materials and equipment to create student center activities developed by the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR).
